Jyotsna Ayyagari

Professor of Practice, Strategy

Jyotsna Ayyagari is a Research and Strategy professional with over three decades of experience across Banking, Financial Services, EdTech, and Corporate Learning. She brings a rare combination of industry insight, analytical rigour, and social impact to her work. She is a Co-founder and Head of Strategy & Research at Excelrate Factors Private Ltd., a growth execution technology firm, serves on the Board of Directors of Vishya Learning Solutions Private Ltd., and is the Co-founder and President of Prema Pravinya Society (PRAVINYA), a not-for-profit focused on academic and vocational skilling.

At Excelrate, she is a co-founder and heads research and strategy. She has been instrumental in shaping the Growth Execution Management Software (GEMS). At IASCC, Jyotsna leads the strategy formulation and execution practice.

As a partner and consultant at nmore, Jyotsna has led several high-impact CXO-level projects. Some of the prestigious assignments include development of a dynamic research model for the Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) to analyse fisheries trade with China; Principal Consultant and Head of Global Research Centre at SDG Software (later acquired by 3i Infotech Ltd.) where she helped shape a leading Anti-Money Laundering product; advised senior leadership in Indian and global central banks on financial markets, derivatives, anti-money laundering, and fraud detection; and Market intelligence studies for CIBIL TransUnion India across the insurance and banking sectors.

Under her leadership, PRAVINYA has reached over 500,000 students and trained more than 15,000 teachers across 2,500 government and tribal schools and hostels in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. This model has been recognised by the British Council in their case studies on digital learning and showcased at international conferences.

Earlier in her career, Jyotsna worked in finance with stockbroking and manufacturing firms, gaining hands-on experience in financial markets and corporate finance. She has also taught Corporate Finance and International Finance at business schools. A passionate advocate of digital learning, she has mentored Vishya since its inception and authored a recent book on e-learning, offering strategic and design perspectives drawn from her extensive cross-sectoral experience.
